Supporting breastfeeding women re-entering or entering the paid workforce.
Mums who are in the army breastfeed too! (Of course they do, but they need the support of their employers). Check out these photographs from America. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/7-powerful-photos-of-military-moms-breastfeeding-in-uniform_us_5730aa94e4b0bc9cb0475f14
Te Puawaitanga has now trained three mums from Burnham Military Camp as breastfeeding peer counsellors, and they are useful resource people to help other mums achieve their own goals for breastfeeding out there at the camp. Send the Canterbury Breastfeeding Advocacy team a message if you have any questions about going back to the paid workforce, or school/study, and continuing to breastfeed.
